Lorraine T. Groh, 87, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. She was born and raised in Newark and lived in Brick, Manchester and Arizona before settling here in 1998. Lorraine attended the Newark School of Performing Arts. She was a homemaker whose hobbies included pastel artistry, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. A dedicated parishioner of the Church of St. Veronica, Lorraine volunteered for art classes and Vacation Bible School at St. Veronica’s. She was generous and always gave to others. While living in Arizona, Lorraine loved taking the train back and forth to New Jersey.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Groh in 1982; and eleven siblings. Lorraine is survived by two sons, George Groh and his wife, Jan of Manasquan, and Glenn Groh and his wife, Linda of Howell; three daughters, Eileen Racioppi and her husband, Jeff of MA, Barbara Murphy and her husband, Mike of AZ, and Lehann Collins and her husband, Randy of NH; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and her brother, Norman Adubato of PA.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
