Rose N. Moncher, 90, of Freehold Township passed away of Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived in Bellerose and Queens before settling here in 1987. Rose was a homemaker and seamstress. She also attended cosmetology school to become a hair dresser. She was a parishioner and communicant of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine in Freehold Township. Rose especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, Cornelius J. Moncher in 1996; brother, John; and sister, Anna. She is survived by her son, Mark M. Moncher and his wife, Dabney of Middletown; daughter, Alice McCabe and her husband, Raymond of Naples, Florida; grandchildren, Nicole, Andrew, Sydney, Sean, and Jacqueline; great grandchildren, Parker, Blake, Eva, Kingston, and Mavis; and her brother, Domenic.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
