Virginia R. Lacey-Bennett, 67, of Howell passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Teaneck and had lived in Jackson before settling in Howell in 2000. Virginia worked as a regional medical transcription supervisor for MONOC in Wall, retiring 16 years ago. She was also a former member of the Jackson First Aid Squad.
Virginia was predeceased by her son, Michael Lacey in 2002. She is survived by her husband, Harold J. Bennett, Jr. of Howell; daughter, Elizabeth Lacey of Levittown, PA; sisters, Barbara Forkel and her husband, Bob of Lewes, DE, and Nancy Adams of Florida; brother, Thomas Gazell of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 12:30 PM for the procession to her graveside service. Interment will take place in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
