Obituary of Nerina Shope

Nerina Shope nee Degrassi, 98, of Howell passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017. She was born in Italy and lived in Queens, NY before moving to Howell 20 years ago. She was a self-employed beautician.

Nerina is survived by her children, Benedict Oddo and his wife, Angela of Hazlet, and Catherine McQuillan and her husband, Kevin of Howell; four grandchildren, Thomas Oddo and his wife, Samantha, Steven Oddo and his wife, Amanda, Megan McQuillan and Sean McQuillan; and four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Anthony, Luca and Francesca.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
