Obituary of Joan Cristofaro

Joan Cristofaro, 83, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in South Plainfield before settling in Freehold Township in 1986. Joan was employed as a patient transport supervisor at John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Edison. She returned to Edison frequently to participate in a local bowling league. Joan will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony V. Cristofaro in 2015. Joan is survived by her children, Mark Cristofaro of Schwenksville, PA, and Gina Lupi of Freehold Township; granddaughter, Julia Lupi of Freehold Township; and daughter-in-law, Suzanne Cristofaro of Schwenksville, PA.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral service on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
