Obituary of Wesley Theol Johnson

Wesley Theol Johnson, 86, of Howell passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Crookston, MN, he lived in Washington, Wisconsin and California before moving to New Jersey in 1962. Wesley was a proud veteran in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and a faithful parishioner of the Ardena Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a member of the choir. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling in his motor home. Wesley will be remembered as an involved and dedicated business man who was always working.

He was predeceased by his brother, Ernst S. Johnson and sister, Dorothy Boivin. Wesley is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Johnson of Howell; children, Wesley Theol Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Howell, Susan Morris and her husband, Richard Hubble of NC, John Johnson and his wife, Katherine of PA, Laura Dusel and her husband, Charles of NY, Gordon Johnson of NJ, and James Johnson and his wife, Nancy of Howell; grandchildren, Andrew, Joel, Kathryn, Whitney, Wm. Grant, Jeremias, Alexander, Charles, Philip, Brian, Sondra, Carly, Ella and James; and twenty three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM for the procession to his 11:00 AM funeral service at Ardena Baptist Church, 593 Adelphia Road, Howell with interment to follow in the cemetery.
