Obituary of Kenneth C. Allen

Updated Service Information:  Visitation will now be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township.  

Kenneth C. Allen, 70, of Farmingdale passed away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  Ken was born and raised in the Richmondtown neighborhood on Staten Island, and had resided in Monroe prior to settling here in 1978.  He was the owner of Marine Container Equipment Certification Corporation for over 40 years.  In addition to beekeeping, his hobbies included woodcarving and reading.  Ken was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast who treasured his family above everything and always looked forward to his annual trip to Nags Head, NC to spend time with them.   He was also a former Boy Scout Leader for Troop 150 and a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Howell.  

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joyce M. Allen; three children, Brian Allen of Neptune, Jennifer Allen of Howell, and Kristian O’Connor of Neptune; and his brother, Richard Allen and his wife, Linda of Edison.
