Richard Correia, 37, passed away on March 29, 2026. He was born in Newark, New Jersey. He was a kind, gentle, caring, and loving person who always placed the needs of others well above his own needs. Richard was always a caretaker for others and a beautiful soul. He had a deep love for wildlife, animals, plants and trees. Richard was fond of birds, and often placed feeders around trees. He proudly belonged to a plant and nature club and even dedicated a planted tree to his niece. He loved cars and loved going out for drives around nature areas. Richard was a huge supporter of Law Enforcement and the military. His passion for this country was just as strong, and he expressed it with pride and joy, often displaying American flags at his home and on his car, especially during holidays and celebrations.
Most of all, Richard loved his family, which was the most important thing in his life. He loved his parents, his brother, his sister-in-law and above everyone, his niece. His niece was the light of his life and he spent much time playing with her, buying her toys, doing homework with her and making crafts. He loved his aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents very much. Richard also loved airplanes and traveling to Europe. He loved spending time in his family's native country, Portugal.
Richard will be very deeply missed by all the family and friends whose lives he touched. He will never be forgotten because he cared so much for everyone. May the Lord keep him at peace until we see him again.
