Obituary of Lawrence Liebowitz

Lawrence "Larry" Liebowitz, 66, of Freehold passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Mr. Liebowitz was born in Bronx, NY and was raised and lived in Brooklyn, NY until settling to Freehold in 1970. He was a graduate of Brooklyn College. Mr. Liebowitz retired in 1998 from G.X. Clarke & Co. Brokerage Firm, Jersey City. Larry had a love of horses, and a passion for the Freehold Raceway. He had a natural green thumb for his roses and yard. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Barbara Liebowitz of Freehold; one son: Steven Liebowitz and his wife, Cecilia of Freehold; two daughters: Stacy Ostrowiak and her husband, Steve of Jackson and Stefani Altieri of Jackson; five grandchildren: Jordan, Cierra, Taylor, Jake and Stevie Ella; one brother: Michael Liebowitz and his wife, Isabelle of Kings Peak, L.I.; and two nieces: Caryn Swantek and Lauren Koubek. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 1:30 PM.
