Obituary of Frank Klein
FRANK G. KLEIN, 64, of COLTS NECK, died Thursday, Dec. 6, at home. Mr. Klein was born in Ridgewood, N.Y. and had lived in the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge before moving to Colts Neck a year ago. He raised pigeons and was a member of many pigeon clubs, including the Perth Amboy Pigeon Club and the Jersey Combine Clubs. Mr. Klein was the former owner of Tutties Pet Store, Maspeth, N.Y., retiring in the 1980's.
He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Klein, in 1999. Surviving are a son, Frank B. Klein of Babylon, N.Y.; a daughter, Barbara Taustine of Colts Neck; three grandchildren, Stephen, Staci, and Melissa; two sisters, Catherine Lamberta of Huntington, N.Y., and Caroline Zinck of Mesa, Ariz.; four brothers, Edward Klein of Merrick, N.Y., Andrew Klein of Bouse, Ariz., Leo Klein of West Windsor, N.Y., and John Klein of Mesa, Ariz.; and his former wife, Bernadette Klein of Aberdeen.
The gathering of friends will take place from noon Saturday, Dec. 15 until his memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank's memory may be made to Meridian Health Services, 1340A Campus Parkway, Neptune, NJ 07753, and would be appreciated.
