Obituary of Delores Scott

DOLORES S. SCOTT, 79, of FARMINGDALE, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Masonic Home of New Jersey, Burlington. Mrs. Scott was born in Butler, Pa. and had lived in Georgetown, Del. before to Farmingdale in 1957. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale and the Nokesville United Methodist Church, Nokesville, Va. She was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a former matron, member and Grand Representative of Alabama of the Molly Pitcher Chapter 198, Order of the Eastern Star, Freehold. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Farmingdale Grange and a member of the Howell-Farmingdale First Aid Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Scott was a school bus driver for the Freehold Regional School District, Englishtown for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald H. Scott, in 1991. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Howdie" and Marie Scott of Farmingdale; a daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and John Kelly of Nokesville, Va.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Lewis of Lake Shores, Fla., and Nancy Barbish of Harmony, Pa. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale, 8 Main St., Farmingdale, with Rev. Dr. Wayne Richards officiating. Burial will be at the convenience at the family.
