Obituary of Frank S. Colosa
Frank S. Colosa, 76, of Howell passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, moved to Middlesex New Jersey in 1981, and had lived in Franklin Township and Somerset before settling in Howell in 1990. Frank proudly served in the United States Navy and during his service, received the National Defense Service Medal. He worked at the Howell Post Office for 18 years and could often be recognized around town anywhere he went. Frank enjoyed watching wrestling and the NFL, especially the Giants. He was known for his love for food, playing video games like Plants vs Zombies, and taking trips to Atlantic City.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lucille; his brother, Joseph Colosa; and niece, Janine. Frank is survived by his beloved companion of 18 years, Linda Weeks; children, Francis J. Colosa and his partner, Rachel Lawrence of Jackson and Tiffany Weeks of Freehold; a sister, Sera Barry and her husband, Richard of Brooklyn; former spouse and friend, Joann Quaranta of East Brunswick; sister-in-law, Judy Colosa; and several nieces and nephews, Elizabeth and her husband, Seth, Robert and his wife, Laura, Christopher and his wife, Anita, Joseph, and Marie and her husband, John; and 13 grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
