Obituary of John Recek
JOHN W. RECEK, 84, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Thursday, Jan. 24, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Recek was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Queens and in the Silvermead Community, Freehold Township. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an ironworker with the I.B.I.W. Local 455, the Bronx.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Recek of Jackson; two sons and two daughters-in-law, John Jr. and Lisa Recek of Commack, N.Y., and Robert and Monika Recek of Jackson; and five grandchildren, Karoline, Nicole, Korinne, Matthew and Tyler.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
