Obituary of Paul E. Fichtner
Paul E. Fichtner, 78, of Freehold Township passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. He was born in the Bronx, NY, was raised and had lived in the Floral Park section of Queens, NY, and resided in Barnard, VT and Fort Salonga, Long Island before settling here in 2004. Paul worked in the homebuilding industry where he was a co-owner of his own company in Staten Island. He was a model train hobbyist, played the saxophone and clarinet, and could be found tinkering all the time. Paul loved cars, specifically Caddy’s, Suburban’s and classic cars. He cruised thirty times throughout the world and was a fan of the NY Yankees.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Rose Lea Fichtner; stepdaughter, Megan Lee and her husband, Brian of Manalapan; grandson, Jason Lee; sister, Virginia Gallo of Floral Park; niece, Charlotte Singh and her fiancé, Richard Booth of West Windsor and Christina Dierlam and her husband, Steve of Lindenhurst, NY,; great niece, Maya Singh; and great nephews, Devin Singh and Caleb Dierlam.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 12:00 to 3:30 PM with Words of Remembrance to follow at 3:30 PM. Entombment will take place on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:30 AM in Maplewood Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, 169 West Main Street, Freehold Township.
