Donald J. Lickun, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in Freehold Township surrounded by his wife and daughters.

He was born in New York in 1933. Donald proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Upon his retirement Don and his wife of 66 years, Patricia, moved to Sonata Bay, NJ before they settled in Freehold in 2021 at Applewood Village. Don was beloved by all and had many friends.

Don's youngest granddaughter honored him with the nickname of "Sweetie" which he always lived up to by having a candy or two in his pocket.

He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Lickun; their daughters, Nora Raplee and her husband, Glenn of Freehold, and Ann-Marie Diggins of Georgia; and grandchildren, Patrick, Samantha, Kelly, Kathryn and her husband, John, Allison, and Jillian.
