Obituary of Charles E. Rehberg, Jr.
Charles E. Rehberg, Jr., 75, of Freehold Township passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Charlie was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn before settling here in 1977. A proud Army veteran, he served in Alaska during the Vietnam War. Charlie worked as a broker in the New York Stock Exchange for over 40 years prior to retiring in 2009. He enjoyed golfing, going to the track and wintering in St. Pete Beach in Florida. Charlie was a world traveler having visited from Europe to Australia. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW in Freehold.
Charlie was predeceased by his sister, Doris Glynn. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sonja Rehberg; daughter, Leslie Talento of Freehold Township; sons, Thomas Rehberg and his wife, Nicole and Daniel Rehberg and his wife, Heather also of Freehold Township; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Madeline, Colette, Mason, Logan, Hunter and Carter; brother-in-law, Billy Glynn; and two nephews, Timmy Glynn and Chris Glynn.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:30 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
