Obituary of Andrew E. Basso III

Andrew E. Basso III “Drew”, 42, of Freehold Township passed away on February 10, 2025, at his residence. Drew was born in Red Bank and had lived in Freehold, Belmar and Millstone. He graduated from Freehold Boro High School Class of 2000. Drew received his business degree from Ocean County College and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing with a minor in golf management from Jersey City University. He also attended West Virginia University and Rutgers University. Drew worked in many capacities over the years. He was most proud of his sales and marketing skills. His latest career was a district market manager in the elevator business. Drew enjoyed the game of golf and played billiards in a league in Howell. Several years ago he made it to the nationals in Las Vegas.  Drew was a collector of many fine things including his famous sneaker collection and his knowledge and love for cars and motorcycles, His Harley was a dream come true.  Drew's smile, kindness to all, empathic ways, sense of humor, hugs, sense of style and suaveness will be missed by all that knew and love him.

He is predeceased by his stepfather, Carmen J. Daccurso. Drew is survived by his mother, Patricia Daccurso of Naples Florida and Freehold, father, Andrew E. Basso, Jr and his wife, Carol of Townsend, Delaware; sister, Dana L. Basso of Arizona; nephew, Joseph C. Berryman of Freehold; dog-brother, Harley; aunts and uncles, Carol and Robert Williams, Robert and Susan Basso, and Joanne and Joe Condelli; cousins, Christopher Williams, Ryan Williams, Andrew Basso, Theresa Kerfoot and Stephanie Condelli; and many friends but especially “The Boys.”

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Funeral Service at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733.
