Joseph Francis Rapczynski Obituary

Joseph Francis Rapczynski, 69, of Howell passed away at home on Thursday, February 20, 2025.  He was born and raised in Bayonne and had lived in Jersey City and Roselle before settling in Howell in 1987.  Joe worked as a test engineer for Government Contractors for 40 years.  He was a man of many talents, one of which was being Mr. Fix-It, and his family always said “If Pop Pop can’t fix it, no one can”.  Joe was a talented baker and enjoyed sewing, especially making his kids’ costumes.  He was musically inclined and could play the guitar, the Beatles being a favorite of his.  In his spare time, Joe enjoyed cruising with his wife to Bermuda and Aruba.

He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Theresa Rapczynski-Nose; brother, Francis Joseph Rapczynski; nephews, Anthony Gamoneda and Peter Rapczynski; and niece, Samantha Rapczynski. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara Rapczynski; daughter, Heather Rapczynski and her wife, Shannon; son, Joseph Rapczynski, Jr.; grandchildren, Makenzie and Aiden; sister, Linda Gamoneda and her husband, Rigo; sister-in-law, Deborah Rapczynski; and nieces, Jennifer Mercado and her husband, Edwin and Amanda Rapczynski.
