Obituary of Anthony Thomas
Anthony Thomas, 84, of Howell passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Brandywine Assisted Living. Tony was born and raised in Newark, living in the Vailsburg section. He then lived in Irvington and Union until moving to Four Seasons in Brick. Tony was the owner of Colonia Carpet Mart for over 30 years. He was a skilled carpenter and could build anything. Tony relished his time tending to his garden in the backyard and especially loved his trips to Atlantic City to play three card poker. Along with his wife, Tony had a passion for travel to Cancun. He was a loving husband, proud father and adoring grandfather.
Tony was predeceased by his sister, Gay Black. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Thomas; two children, Anthony Thomas and his wife, Marisell and Gina Lieblein and her husband, Fred; and three grandchildren, Zach, Mia, and Jade.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM with his memorial service following at 7:30 PM.
