Obituary of Gozel Islambekova

Gozel Islambekova, 75, of The Bronx, New York passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, at her residence. She was born and raised in Turkmenistan and had immigrated to the United States in 1994 with her children to provide them a better life. Gozel had lived in Brooklyn and Freehold before settling in the Bronx nine years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to classical Russian and Armenian music, reading, playing scratch offs, and visiting Atlantic City. Her favorite saying was always "I love you baby", a sentiment she shared with all those around her. Gozel was known for her impeccable sense of style and grace, always carrying herself with class and sophistication. She had a deep appreciation for different cultures and was constantly seeking knowledge and understanding. Her honesty and natural beauty were admired by all who knew her.

She is predeceased by her 1st husband, Shafkat Islambekov and her 2nd husband, Gregory Gabrlian. Gozel is survived by her four children, Zemfira Islambekova of Uzbekistan; Timur Tilman his wife, Larisa and their son Arthur Tilman of Ohio, Alex Islambekov and his wife, Nicole Salerno of Jackson and Azat Islamkeov and his wife, Michelle Ambrosio; seven grandchildren and two great grandsons.  

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 529), Freehold Township on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 PM with her funeral service to follow. Interment will be at St. Vladmir Russian Orthodox Cemetery, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson, NJ.
