Obituary of James W. Bostjancic
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James William “Jim” Bostjancic. He was born on August 29, 1946. Jim passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, due to complications of Parkinson’s and Dementia surrounded by his loving family. Jim, affectionally known as Pap, was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpap and friend. He was known for his supportive and caring nature. Jim graduated from Freehold High School and began working with his father as a lineman and an electrician. He was a member of the IBEW Local 400. Jim had an outstanding work ethic and was known for always doing the right thing. He had a vast collection of tools and was always fixing something around his house or his cars. Jim often helped and taught friends how to work on their own cars and repair things around their homes so they could learn the skills without needing to call someone else. He was known for being handy and would always complete the to-do list that his wife would leave him. During retirement years, Jim enjoyed traveling with his wife. He cherished the memories made on their trip to Alaska. He loved watching his grandkids’ sporting activities, attending their school achievement events and taking them to the park when they were little. Jim was always generous with his time. He enjoyed his wife’s homemade cooking and the sweet treats that his daughter would bring. Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
