Janice was a sweet and dear friend. We met at Mother Seton Regional High School as Freshman and remained friends throughout her life. We went from sitting at Mrs. Small's kitchen table to growing up to have adult lives that always included each other. Along with Eilbacher and Bucina we danced and explored life as students. Janice was a smart and kind person, along with being an unassuming beauty. She had a career in education helping many students in both English and Spanish. Janice raised her daughter Maria and was always so very proud of her. She survived her husband's demise and began a new life in a wonderful retirement community surrounded by caring neighbors and family. I visited Janice in her new home and she shared some of the beautiful jewelry she made with me. Unfortunately, Janice suffered in many ways in life and her illness was debilitating and mysterious. Losing Janice was a mournful experience as she embodied so much of our youthful growth that carried on into our mature lives. She deserves to rest in peace knowing she will be missed by so many who treasured her.
