Obituary of Evelyn Tepedino
Evelyn Tepedino, 85, of Brooklyn and as of just two days ago, Freehold Township passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, March 7, 2025. Brooklyn was Ev's lifelong home, a place she knew intimately, though she also cherished time spent in the tranquil Poconos. Just this Tuesday, she embarked on a new chapter, settling into her home at Regent Oaks in Freehold. For over forty years, Ev brought her sharp financial wisdom to the automotive industry, culminating in a distinguished career as a controller at Fordham Toyota in the Bronx, from which she retired in 2000. Beyond her professional life, Ev's generous spirit shone through her volunteer work with Meals on Wheels. A passionate cook, she also possessed a deep love of travel and a refined eye for interior design. Above all, family was her heart's compass, and to them, she was simply "Ev,” because no one was allowed to call her "Grandma."
Ev was predeceased by her daughter on September 11, 2001, Jody Nichilo and a sister, Gautanina Aufiero. She is survived by her sons, Vincent Tepedino and his wife, Marianne of Brooklyn and Anthony Tepedino and his wife, Diane; five grandchildren, Nicole, Jaclyn and her husband, Justin, Anthony, Ariana and her husband, Patryk, and Alexa and her husband, Aaron; and five great grandchildren, Amelia, Scarlet, Justin, Jr., Dominic and Leo.
