Carol Kershaw

Obituary of Carol Kershaw

Carol Anne Kershaw, 81, of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025.  Carol's life journey spanned from her Camden birth to her Haddon Heights upbringing, culminating in her 1975 move to Freehold Township. Educated at Georgian Court University and Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees respectively, Carol dedicated her career to family counseling as a Clinical Psychologist. A true renaissance woman, she embraced a vibrant array of passions: art, culinary arts, floral appreciation, and a love of music, particularly Bon Jovi and Julio Iglesias.  Travel was a constant delight, with annual January anniversaries spent in Barbados alongside her husband. Yet, above all, Carol cherished her family, finding her greatest joy in her roles as "Mup" and "Gi-Gi."

Carol was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Kershaw in 2009.  She is survived by her daughter, Susan Kershaw; granddaughters Tara Vestyck and her wife, Tina Campellone and Lindsey Cuffs and her husband, Jeff; and her great-granddaughter, Sidney.

All arrangements are private at this time under the direction of Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold.  Entombment will be with her husband, Ray, at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Department of Psychology & Counseling at Georgian Court University, 900 Lakewood Avenue, Lakewood, New Jersey 08701.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
