Obituary of Josephine Levoi

Josephine Levoi, 75, of Barnegat Township passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 10, 2025 at home.  Josephine was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn (she truly was a Brooklyn girl).  Just recently, she moved to Barnegat Township.  Josephine was a teachers aid for FDR High School, Brooklyn until her retirement.  She was a natural jokester and a trusted confidante always giving advice and solving problems for others.  Her son, grandkids, family and friends were her world.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna Siriano; brothers-in-law, Angelo and Richard Avvento; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Siriano; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Levoi.  She is survived by her son, Richard Levoi; two grandchildren, Michael and Sophia; siblings, Carolann Avvento, Joseph Siriano and his partner, Lucy, and Dolores Avvento; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 12:00 Noon Memorial Mass on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at St. Gabriel Historic Church, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro.  Inurnment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum.  All arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
