Obituary of Goar Nikogosian

Goar Nikogosian, 68, of Old Bridge and formerly of Greece and Russia passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Merwick Care & Rehabilitation Center, Plainsboro, NJ. Goar was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and was raised in Russia. She retired to Chios, Greece in 2000 and then moved to Old Bridge, NJ in 2017 to be with her children. Goar relished in the Greek life and really enjoyed dancing and cooking.   Yet family was everything to her and was all that mattered. Goar was a devoted wife, loving mother and adoring babushka. She was truly caring and loving to everyone around her.


Goar is survived by her three children, Elman Aliev, Valida Kustova, and Hanna Alieva; five grandchildren, Artur Aliev, Emily Alieva, Violetta Sevastianova, Anna Kustova, and Alexander Boykov; siblings, Vladimir Nikogosian, Vyacheslav Nikogosian, Valeriy Nikogosian, and Loretta Muradalieva.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at St. Alexander Nevsky R.O. Cathedral, 200 Alexander Avenue, Howell on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 9:00 am.
