Obituary of Dorothy Petrosky

Dorothy Petrosky, 101, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  She was born, raised and had lived in Hoboken and  Union City, and settled here in 1969.  Dorothy worked as a barber and still held an active cosmetology license.  Prior to becoming a barber, Dorothy worked in the mercantile industry.  A woman who lived a remarkable 100+ years, she was active at the Freehold Township Senior Center and loved dancing and attending lectures.  Dorothy was a lifelong learner, always eager to try new things, and not afraid of technology. 

She was predeceased by husband, Edward Petrosky, Sr.; son, Edward Petrosky, Jr.; son-in-law, Frank Campione; and brother, Benjamin Bartucci. Dorothy is survived by her son, Dr. Ronald Petrosky and his wife, Teresa of Galloway Township; daughter, Dr. Gail Petrosky-Campione; four grandchildren, Janine Lempa and her husband, Steve, Prisilla Odgers and her husband, Chris, Ronald Petrosky, Jr. and his wife, Jaime, and Tyler Brito and his wife, Heena; and four great grandchildren, Jonathan, Malia, Sage and Rome.
