Obituary of Stevan J. Scarano

Stevan J. Scarano, 75, of Freehold passed away at home with his wife by his side on Saturday, March 29, 2025. He was born in New Brunswick, raised in Englishtown, and settled in Freehold in 1983. Stevan bravely and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was an animal lover and had a passion for hot rod cars.

He was predeceased by his father, John Scarano; and nephew, Nicolas D. Scarano. Stevan is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Lorraine Scarano; mother, Frances (Penny) Scarano; siblings, Kenneth Scarano and his wife, Karen, Glenn Scarano and his wife, Helen, and Debbie Murasky and her husband, Tom; nieces and nephew, Melissa Brown-Skolsky and her husband, Matt, Kevin Brown and his wife, Tiffany, Lacey Scarano, and Emily Scarano; and many loving friends.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:45 PM with a Military Honor Service to begin at 7:45 PM. Inurnment will take place in Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veteran Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 11:30 AM.
