Marshall Hambrick

Obituary of Marshall G. Hambrick

Marshall “Ham” Hambrick went home to be with his sweet wife Mary, and his loving mother Areitha, peacefully in his home on March 30th.
A proud Vietnam Veteran, Marshall honorably served his country in the Airborne Division from 1965 to 1968. The only thing Marshall loved more than fishing, qualifying at the gun range or a fine cigar, was his cherished extended family and steadfast friends. He leaves behind a son, Marcus (wife Heidi), daughter, Monica (husband Melvin); his devoted grandchildren, Maya Grace, Jessica, and Derrick; his Nubian Queen sister, Bonita; his nephew, Quentin; and his sister-in-law, Paulette.
His legacy of love and camaraderie extends to those who knew him best—the Hookboyz , the Buffalo Soldiers Brothers and Sisters, his military brethren, and his colleagues from the Department of Corrections. Marshall will be remembered for his storytelling, the warmth of jazz music under the stars, and the laughter shared around the campfire. A tribute to his military service and his gentle spirit will take place.
