Obituary of Carol Ann Lippin
Carol Ann Lippin, 81, of Manalapan, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and sister. Born in Plainfield and raised in Somerville, Carol moved to Freehold before establishing her home in Manalapan in the late 1970s.
A dedicated educator, Carol retired in 2014 as the Dean of Advising for Georgian Court University in Lakewood, culminating over twenty-five years of service to the institution. Prior to her role as Dean, she served as the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs. Earlier in her career, Carol shared her passion for language as a middle school English teacher in Freehold Borough.
Carol was a woman of deep faith and a devoted parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine. Her commitment to her church community was evident in her service as a Eucharistic Minister and her active participation in the music ministry, where she lovingly led both the children's choir and the folk group.
A gifted musician, Carol played the piano, organ, and guitar with grace and enthusiasm. Her love for music extended to singing and dancing, with a particular fondness for square dancing. Beyond her musical talents, Carol was a skilled cook and found a surprising sense of satisfaction in ironing. She also embraced an active lifestyle, enjoying walks along the Spring Lake boardwalk and participating in Zumba classes.
Above all, Carol was a devoted wife, sister, and aunt, cherishing the bonds of family.
Carol was predeceased by her first husband, John McNiece in 1988. She is survived by her husband of twenty-three years, Kenneth Lippin; stepchildren, Todd Lippin and Jennifer Lippin; sister, Julie Ireland and her husband, Patrick; nephews, Christopher Ireland and his wife, Kerri, James Ireland and his wife, Shari, and David Ireland and his wife, Kendra; and her great-nephews, Michael, Kenneth, Richard, and Greyson.
