Obituary of Florence Duhigg

Florence Duhigg, 84, of Howell passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 5, 2025.  Florence was born and raised in Newark.  She had lived in East Orange, Linden and Edison before settling in Howell in 2004.  Florence was a home maker before returning to the workforce and had worked for Revlon in Edison as a data input clerk.  Along with husband, Jerry “Wiggs”, she owned and operated Seasons Restaurant & Sports Bar in Edison until their retirement in 2009.  Florence was a proud member of the Sunshine Club and cherished the time spent with her dear friends there.   A woman of deep Christian faith, she was a former member of Jackson Baptist Church and volunteered in their food pantry.  Her faith was unwavering, and she walked closely with Jesus every day of her life.

Florence will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a deeply adored grandma and grandma Flo.

Florence was predeceased by her husband, Jerry “Wiggs” Duhigg.  She is survived by her children,   Michael and his wife, Valerie, Deborah Hutchins and her husband, John, Gerard, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, and Joseph and his wife, Amber; thirteen grandchildren, Michael Sicoli, Ashley Duhigg, Nicolette Duhigg and her fiancé, Emilio Costantino, Giana Carbajal and her husband, Anthony, Michael Duhigg, Jr., Alyssa Sicoli, Anthony Duhigg, Joey Duhigg, Cassidy Duhigg, Lexie Duhigg, Cole Duhigg, Easton Duhigg and Jax Duhigg; and five great-grandchildren, Brody, Peyton, Alaia, Nico and Weston.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Brindley, officiating.
