Obituary of Leonard B. Yoder
Leonard B. Yoder, 89, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. He was born and raised in Lakewood, OH, the youngest son of Leonard Arner Yoder and Edyth Bollinger Yoder. He also lived in Stamford, CT and multiple NJ towns before settling in Freehold in 1984. After serving in the United States Army, he worked as a chemist for over 40 years, at Denver Chemical Manufacturing Company, Carter Wallace and others. Leonard loved cooking, his specialty being Chinese food. A member of the Coast Guard auxiliary, he enjoyed time on the water fishing and sailing. Leonard was also an avid gardener and an enthusiastic Cleveland sports fan.
He was predeceased by his brothers, John Richard Yoder, William Robert Yoder and Carl Yoder. Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eleanor Yoder; daughter, Karen Yoder; son, Peter Yoder; and many nieces and nephews.
