Obituary of Peter Jespersen

Peter passed away peacefully on April 9 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. Peter would have celebrated his 63^rd birthday on April 20.

Peter was the fifth child of Charles and Virginia (Hamilton) Jespersen and younger brother to Chris and Brian, all of whom predeceased him.  Peter’s surviving siblings include Kevin Jespersen and his spouse Randee Matloff, Linda Carroll, Clair Sautner and her spouse Michael Sautner.  Peter is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, in-law families, roommates and outstanding caregivers.

Peter lived in group homes in Bayonne and Jersey City and participated in work programs all sponsored by Hudson Milestones. Peter moved to a group home sponsored by AMIB (Association for the Multiple Impaired Blind, Inc.) in Freehold in 2019 and he participated in Day Services provided by Dungarvin New Jersey LLC.

Peter had been a Special Olympics participant and an avid bowler for many years.  He enjoyed movies (the more violent the better), eating good food and especially people watching.
