Obituary of Marilyn P. Bachmann

Marilyn P. Bachmann, 93, of Monroe Township passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  She was born in Manhattan, raised in West New York, NJ and lived and raised her family in New Milford, NJ before moving to Clearbrook in Monroe Township in 2022. 

In New Milford, Marilyn was an active member of the Glory Day Lutheran Church, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the town Republican Club and the Ambulance Corps Auxiliary. Marilyn’s was an avid square dancer who made her own elaborate dresses, loved to paint, play piano and violin.  She also enjoyed camping with her husband Gus, they owned many campers and motorhomes, that took them throughout the U.S. and even one trip to Canada. 

Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Caroline Vigil, her son Keith Bachmann, and her sister, Gloria Schwartz.  She is survived by her husband, August J. Bachmann; son, Kris Bachmann and his wife, Celeste; daughter, Karilyn Bachmann and her wife, Sandra Straus; Daughter-in-law Vikki Bachmann.

Cherished great-grandmother to: Stella, Madelynn, Savannah, Harlow, Brennan, Hunter, Brynn, Chase and Remi.
