Obituary of Marion G. Staples

Marion G. Staples, 79, of Howell passed away on Saturday, April 19,2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  She was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn, moved to Manalapan and eventually settled in Howell in 1999.  Marion worked as a bookkeeper for Maranatha Stairs, Freehold until her retirement in 1999.  She had a deep appreciation for gardening, delighting in the colors, scents, and beauty of blooming flowers. Marion also enjoyed arts and crafts, always finding joy in creativity.  Above all, her most cherished role was being a grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Lananna; and two brothers, Michael Lananna and Anthony Lananna.  Marion is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Frederick Staples; three daughters, Andrea D’Eletto and her husband, David of Colts Neck, Jessica Butler and her husband, Stephen of Brambleton, VA and Melissa O’Shea and her husband, Brian of Howell; and seven grandchildren, Julia, Grace, Jack, Riley, Amelia, Jake and Morgan.
