
Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Giambagno
Anthony “Tony” Giambagno, 90, formerly of Little Ferry, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Applewood Estates, Freehold Township. Tony was born and raised in Little Ferry and retired to Toms River in 2005. After serving honorably in the United States Army stationed in Colorado Springs with his wife, Margaret, Tony began a successful career as an accountant. When his boys were growing up, he volunteered his time with Little Ferry Little League and the Boys Club. Tony was a member of the Toms River Ambulance Corp and was very active with the Knights of Columbus Council #2586 in Teaneck, New Jersey. In retirement, he reveled in traveling with his wife. Tony was a dedicated family man who enjoyed nothing more than being with his wife, children, grandchildren, and recently his great granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Margaret; and his parents, Pasquale and Emily Giambagno. Tony is survived by his sons, Anthony Giambagno, Kenneth Giambagno and his wife, Maureen, and Brian Giambagno and his wife, Mary Ann; grandchildren, Matthew and his wife, Alyse, Michael and his wife, Nicole, Gabrielle and her husband, Bradley, Nicole and her fiancé, Matthew, Steven and his fiancée, Nicole and Brianne and Drake; great granddaughter, Molly Ann; and two great grandchildren on the way; twin brother, John Giambagno; and various nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veteran Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
