Obituary of Joseph Ralph Saporita

Joseph Ralph Saporita, 70, of Howell, NJ, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 4, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Joe was the son of the late Andrew and Rita Saporita (née Alfano). He was also predeceased by his sister, Joanne Farraye and his brother, David Saporita.

Joe is survived by his wife, Iris Saporita; daughter Andrea Beagin and her family—husband Jim, and children Marc, Logan, and Chase; and son Justin, along with Justin’s children Kyle and Alyssa.

A graduate of William Grady Technical High School, Joe was an A-certified mechanic and long-time service advisor who worked for Pepper and Potter Buick, Met-Tech Ford, and Bruno Truck and Auto Sales. After his tenure at the dealerships he rounded out his career retiring eventually from Pep-Boys.  Known for his mechanical skills and warm personality, Joe was respected by customers and co-workers alike.

After surviving a debilitating stroke in 2021, he showed tremendous strength and determination in relearning how to walk, speak, and carry out daily tasks.

Joe will be remembered for his storytelling, work ethic, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed.
