
Obituary of Virginia Urgola
Virginia Urgola, 92, of Freehold passed away on May 6, 2025, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and was raised and had lived in New York City before settling in Freehold in 1994. Virginia worked as a saleswoman at Macy's for 20 years, working tirelessly until she was 84 years old. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Virginia loved making the holidays special for her loved ones and always went above and beyond to create lasting memories with them. She was known for her adventurous spirit and love of travel. She enjoyed seeing the world and vacationing to new and exciting places.
Virginia was predeceased by her parents, Virginia and John Valencia; sister, Iris Devrous; and her brother, Rafael Morales. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Healey and her husband, Gregory of Freehold; three grandchildren, Michael Healey and his wife, Sandra of Freehold, Vincent Healey of Howell and Genevieve Spizzirri and her husband, Kevin of Freehold; six great grandchildren, Gavin, Michael, Alexa, Alex, Gabriel and Dominic; one sister, Lydia Valencia of Barnegat; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood, NJ 08701. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Virginia’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
