Obituary of Arlene F. Giovinazzo
Arlene F. Giovinazzo, 80, of Monroe Township passed away peacefully and suddenly on the morning of Monday, May 12, 2025. She was born and raised in Elizabeth and had lived in Staten Island for approximately 20 years before moving to Garwood and ultimately settling in Monroe Township. Her final months were spent with her daughter and family in Millstone Township.
Arlene was a stay-at-home mother for many years who provided love and devotion to her family. As the years went by, she worked as a receptionist and secretary for Amerchol Corporation in Edison. Arlene had a beautiful and warm smile which would brighten up any room. She had a wonderful way with people and would graciously greet and help customers on a daily basis. She was an asset to her company, and she developed friendships for a lifetime.
After Arlene retired, she was the babysitter for Chrissy's four loving and active sons. Arlene spent countless days driving the boys to different school and sporting events as well as cooking them their favorite meals. She was known for her quick wit, perpetual optimism, and unwavering positivity. Arlene was best described as sweet, loving, loyal, and very warm. She truly enjoyed the simple things life had to offer and often stated... "If I was any better I don't know what I would do with myself!" Self-pity was not in Arlene's repertoire. She was an angel on earth to everyone around her. Arlene had a special way of making each person she met feel important. She brought warmth and comfort to anyone who visited her home. Her presence had a way of putting others at ease.
Arlene was a true patriot. She loved the troops and supported them to the last days of her life. Arlene is an inspiration and a shining light. She will be missed more than words could ever express.
Arlene is predeceased by her former husband and dear friend, George E. Giovinazzo; parents, George and Mildred Suchovic; niece, Holly Smith; sister-in-law, Maryann Suchovic; and great-niece, Samantha Suchovic. Arlene is survived by her daughter, Christine Doran and her husband, Tom; grandsons, TJ, Mikey, Danny, and Ryan; canine companion, Riley; siblings, Danny, Bobby (and his wife, Linda), Barbara (and her ex-husband, Smitty); and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
