Obituary of Pauline Marie Burke
Pauline Burke, 101, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Pauline was a true lifelong resident of Freehold. She lived in the same house her whole life. Pauline first worked for Mark’s Brothers in Freehold and then became a school bus driver for the Freehold Regional School District for thirty-five years until her retirement. Growing up on the family farm led to her love for gardening. Pauline relished her time, tending to her flowers and vegetables. She had a deep sense of faith and was a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine and a former parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Along with her family, Pauline enjoyed traveling by car throughout the United States exploring new places every step along the way. Yet the most important thing to her was being a loving wife, adoring mom, and adoring Grandma and Great-Grandma.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband, George R. Burke in 1988; her son, George M. Burke in 2011; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Burke in 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Janet G. Sangiovanni and her husband, John; Richard Jeffery L. Burke; grandchildren, Kelly Burke, George A. Burke and his wife, Andi, John Sangiovanni and his wife, Dara, Shannon Sangiovanni, and Amanda Rose Burke; and great-grandchildren, Shayne, Kaitlyn, Summer and Marina.
