Obituary of Hatije Peposhi

Hattije “Hasa” Peposhi, 76, of Howell Township passed away on Friday, July 4th, 2025, surrounded by her children and joined the heavens on a night lit by fireworks. She had an abundance of love and a smile for everyone she met and simple things like a lottery-scratch ticket would make her day!  Hasa leaves behind a legacy of memories full of a resilient life, love and laughter for her children, grandchildren, family and friends who loved and cared for her until the end. May our thoughts and prayers carry her on the wings of an angel into God's loving arms.

She is predeceased by her husband, Halil Peposhi and son, Agron “Tony” Peposhi. Hasa is survived by her three children, Merita Peposhi and her husband, Ronald Lorenzo of Howell, Susan Xholi and her husband, Bahri of Staten Island and Victor Peposhi of Staten Island; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Lucien, Valentina, Oliva and Alexander; three sisters, Gezime Hajredini, Nevruze Lazamiand Ilmije Kadriu; sister in-law, Shasine Rushiti.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 7th, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her 9:00 AM prayer service on Tuesday, July 8^th, 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ 07512. For those who cannot attend the interment in person, you may participate via the funeral home’s webcast HERE.
