Anneliese M. “Owie” Bismarck, 81, of Pitman passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, Sewell. She was born and raised in Munster Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1966 at the age of 23 on the SS Bremen and she lived in Oakhurst and Farmingdale before settling to Pitman in 2020. Anneliese met her husband in Germany, and together they decided to make a life in the United States. She began her career at the Munster Journal in her teens. Anneliese was Ceramic Tech at Pekay Industries in Farmingdale for over 40 years. She was a hardworking individual who always gave her best in everything she did. Anneliese was known for being the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. In her free time, Anneliese enjoyed bowling at Howell Lanes, cooking delicious German dishes, and taking trips to Atlantic City. She was truly one of a kind.

Anneliese is predeceased by her husband, Otto B. “Opa” Bismarck; sister, Margaret Sadowski; nephews, Elmar Sadowski; brother-in-law, Frederick Bismarck, sisters in law, Isle Lafferty and Lynne Bismarck. She is survived by her three children, Claudia Millar and her husband, Joseph of Pitman, Robert Bismarck and his wife, Shannon of Clayton, NY and Thomas Bismarck of Wall; daughter in law, Jennifer Bismarck of Toms River; seven grandchildren, Kacy and her husband, Anthony, Rachel and her husband, Andrew, Jaclyn and her boyfriend, Jeff, Hunter Grace, Owen, Cody and Brody; sister, Rosi Fleger and her husband, Wolfgang; brothers in law, Wilhelm Bismarck and his wife, Marianne, Horst Bismarck and Mike Lafferty; sister in law, Annette Bismarck; nephews, Tim and his wife, Sabine and Maik and his wife, Lisa; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with her funeral service to follow.
