Obituary of Stephen L. Cirillo

Stephen L. Cirillo, 69, of Manalapan suddenly passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025 at home. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, moved to Colts Neck, NJ in 1998, and settled in Manalapan, NJ in 2018. He was the proprietor of Midtown Enterprises in Brooklyn and I Cavallini Ristorante in Colts Neck.

Stephen was one of those rare people who made the world brighter simply by being in it. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others in an incredibly genuine way. He brought lightness and laughter wherever he went. If you spent even a moment with him, you likely walked away feeling happier than before.

Stephen was most known for his steadiness, how he showed up for the people in his life, how quick he was to offer encouragement, and how effortlessly he brought joy and laughter to a room. He enjoyed listening to his music at his home, on his boat or at his restaurant with his family and friends.

Stephen was predeceased by his mother, Tomasina Cirillo. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Lisa Cirillo; daughter Elena DeBartolis her husband Erick; his son, Joseph Cirillo and his wife Noelle; grandchildren, Joseph Cirillo and Ciro DeBartolis; siblings, Gregory, Linda, Tomasina, and Julie; in-laws, Elena Trotta and her husband, Michael, and Michael Mistretta and his wife, Annette; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at St. Gabriel’s Church, 100 North Main Street, Marlboro. Interment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro.
