Obituary of Eduardo A. Ramirez
Eduardo A. Ramirez, 80, of Howell Township passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 1, 2025. He was born in Sabana Iglesia, Dominican Republic and came to the United States in August 1964. Eduardo first settled in Corona, Queens, later moving to Inwood, Manhattan, where he lived for many years before making Howell his home in 1989. Eduardo was a hardworking man who provided for his family. He deeply valued education and ensured that all his children received a good education. He loved being surrounded by family and was happiest when cooking large meals and having people over to eat. In his later years, Eduardo enjoyed spending time back in the campo in the Dominican Republic. He took pride in tending to his chickens, pigs, and other animals, and loved checking on the mangos, avocados, and other fruits growing on his land.
Eduardo was predeceased by his parents, Antonio Ramirez and Maria Lugo, and his brothers, Juan Ramirez and Toño Ramirez. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marina Ramirez; his children, Eduardo Jr. and his wife Roxana Ramirez, Marilyn Ramirez, Mariza Ramirez, and Steve Ramirez; his nine grandchildren: Robbie Davison, Martin Gomez, Cassandra Ramirez, Thomas Andrews, Joseph Ramirez, Joellyn Peralta, Nichole Andrews, Christopher Andrews, and Joel Peralta; and his three great-grandchildren: Madison Gomez, Martin Gomez Jr., and Camila Ardelean; and his siblings, Carmen Garcia, Merecedes Corona, Altagracia Ramirez, Yolanda Ramirez, Maximo Ramirez and Radahmes Ramirez.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend Eduardo’s Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 Mc Lean St, Freehold, NJ 07728
