Obituary of Iwan Sulimenko
Iwan Sulimenko, 61, of Howell Township passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Iwan was born in Fitkin Hospital in Neptune and was a life-long Howell resident. He was a carpenter by trade, worked in the Union in New York City, and even had a hairdresser’s license to cut hair. Iwan was truly a “Jack of all trades”. Yet helping was what he was good at. Iwan would take his shirt off his back for a friend in need or family or his church. He had deep faith and was a member of both St. Alexander Nevsky R.O. Cathedral in Howell and St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson.
People knew Iwan for his wit and humor, always telling a joke and with a smile. Iwan never wasted a moment, he lived every day to the fullest.
Iwan was predeceased by his father, Iwan. He is survived by his daughter, Anya Sulimenko; mother, Olga Sulimenko; sister, Sophia Balsirow; twin brother, Andre Sulimenko; three nephews, Andre Balsirow, Anton Balsirow, Alexei Balsirow; and nieces, Alexandria Balsirow and Aliyah Sulimenko.
