Obituary of Bonnie I. "Tweet Tweet" Gordon

Bonnie I. “Tweet Tweet” Gordon, 78, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and had lived in Lynbrook, Long Island, Jackson, Howell, and Erie, PA before settling in Freehold in 2019.  Bonnie worked as the Director of Nursing for Circle of Life in South Plainfield and was also a world renowned dog breeder of French Mastiffs.  Spending time with her family was her favorite past-time and she loved nothing more than cooking for them and hosting holidays, making them magical.  Bonnie’s hobbies included cross-stitch and listening to classical music, as well as traveling in Europe. 

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Murray and Shirley Shanus; and her brother, Robert Shanus.  She is survived by her daughter, Amie Smith and her husband, Karl; sons, Richard Gordon and his wife, Shannon and Jason Gordon and his wife, Jeini; grandchildren, Shawn Gordon, Deisha Buffington, Misha Buffington, Samuel Buffington, Camilla Gordon, Rebecca Gordon, Aubrey Smith and Everly Smith; sister, Carissa Braun; and niece and nephew, Corie Braun and Matthew Braun.
