Susan Moskal

Obituary of Susan Moskal

Susan Moskal, 69, of Freehold Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at CentraState Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Jersey City and raised in Hazlet, Sue lived in Aberdeen before settling in Freehold Township to raise her family.

A graduate of Seton Hall University and a proud Registered Nurse, Sue began her career at Raritan Bay Medical Center before moving into home health care while raising her daughters. She later served as Director of Nursing at the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center and concluded her career with United Healthcare, cherishing the friendships she formed along the way.

A woman of faith, Sue was a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine and a former CCD teacher.  She was an active class mom, a Girl Scout volunteer, and an enthusiastic traveler, especially fond of relaxing on the beaches of the Caribbean and enjoying annual family trips to North Myrtle Beach.

Sue embraced life with warmth and humor, earning the affectionate title of “Grandma Sue” as the director of activities at “Camp Moskal.”  She was a devoted wife of 44 years, a loving mother, a cherished daughter, a caring sister, and an adoring grandmother.

Sue was predeceased by her father, Raymond Kazmierski; her sister, Diane Mathews; her brother, Stephen Kazmierski; and her newborn son, Gregory.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Moskal; daughters, Cara Scacco and her husband, Clayton, Kristin Moskal, and Allyson Howell and her husband, Josh; granddaughters, Sophia and Grace Scacco; her mother, Norberta Kazmierski; sister, Jane King; and many nieces and nephews.
