Obituary of Lydia V. Masini

Lydia V. Masini, 92, of Howell Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  She was born and raised in Humacao, Puerto Rico before coming to the United States mainland. Throughout her life, Lydia lived in Brooklyn, NY and Orlando, FL and Howell, NJ.

Lydia was a homemaker throughout her life, yet she had a love for gardening and flowers.  This passion led her to establish her own floral shop in Puerto Rico which she ran with pride and passion.  Lydia also worked in Brooklyn as a clerk and in Orlando for Marriott in the accounts receivable department.  She relished her time shopping and was always dressed to impress from her jewelry to her shoes.  Lydia was a woman of faith and family meant everything to her.

Lydia was predeceased by her husband, Francisco T. Masini in 2013.  She is survived by her children, Frank Masini and his wife, Irene and Lisa Sweeney and her husband, Ed; four grandchildren Francisco Masini and his wife, Nicole, Amanda Guthrie and her husband, Ryan, Vincent DeLuca, and Tara Staversky and her husband, Michael; three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Liliana, and Damian; sisters, Luz and Milagros; and her brother, Rey.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM until her 11:00 AM Funeral Service.  Interment will follow in Brig.
