Obituary of Garry Owen McGuigan
Garry Owen McGuigan, 56, lifelong resident of Howell passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 in Manchester, Connecticut. He worked for many years at Honeywell International followed by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Garry had a passion for being outdoors, which led to his love of hunting, fishing, and taking amazing pictures. He was a member of the I.C.C. (Inlet Corner Crew) of the Manasquan Inlet. Garry was an avid follower of modified racing. He spent countless hours at the Wall Stadium and traveled up and down the East Coast to attend races. Garry was called a “Super Fan” for his dedication. He liked to think he was a professional singer, and to those around him, he was a “rockstar in the car”. Garry will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was predeceased by his father, Michael McGuigan; and brother, Thomas. Garry is survived by his daughter, Madeline McGuigan; mother, MaryJane McGuigan; life partner, Denise Pittman; siblings, Michael McGuigan and his wife, Pamela, MaryJane Costello and her husband, Edward, and Jennifer Gilliam and her husband, Douglas; sister-in-law, AnneMarie; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and his beloved English Bulldog, Rollie Pollie.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM with a memorial service to begin at 4:30 PM. Interment will be private.
