Obituary of Isabel A. Hebert
We are deeply saddened to share the news that Isabel A. Hebert, affectionately known as Betty, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township. Betty was born in the Village of Montville in Westchester County, New York, and grew up in Scarsdale, NY and Worcester, MA before settling in Shrewsbury, MA. In 2022, Betty moved to Lakewood, NJ to be closer to her beloved family.
Betty retired from her role as a basket designer at her husband’s company, Hebert Candies. Outside of work, Betty was a homebody who relished her time with her family. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Fort Lauderdale, where she had a passion for playing Cribbage and Shuffleboard. Betty was a devoted sports fan, cheering on the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots with unwavering loyalty.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerald Hebert, and her brother, Frank Gadaleto. She leaves behind her children, Stephen Breen and his wife Mikee, Nancy Christie and her husband James, and Paul Breen. She was a proud grandmother to Garrett Christie and his wife, Rosario, and Anthony Breen, and a doting great-grandmother to Logan Alexander Christie and Dean Parker Christie. Betty is also survived by her siblings, Julia Wall, Toni Gale, and Joseph Gadaleto, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
